The SPS6-S is SquarePlug's straight TRS plug for balanced/stereo applications, similar in design to its SPS4/5 TS counterparts but optimized for larger balanced cables. It can accommodate balanced cables with an outer diameter up to 6.3mm and pairs perfectly with SquarePlug's short body XLR plugs for 1/4" TRS to XLR cable assemblies. The SPS6-S is the shortest solder-type 1/4" connector that features strain relief, protruding by only 31mm when plugged in with an outer diameter of 13mm (just under 14mm around the screw heads area).

The SPS7-S was specifically engineered for Y or insert cable assemblies and dual-mono applications, featuring a patented oblong clamping system that provides effective strain relief while maintaining cables parallel to each other. This prevents stress build-up on solder joints caused by cables folding or twisting on one another—a common failure point in dual-mono cable assemblies. These connectors are ideal for creating insert cables, making them perfect for pedal switchers like the RJM PBC or stereo pedals like the Strymon Timeline.
